Presales Tracking

Every opportunity in senSEi has a Presales Tracking section in the Presales tab (Opportunity → Presales → Presales sub-tab). It maps directly to Okta's SFDC presales fields, so you never need to switch between tools during a call or forecast review.

Fields

• Presales Stage — Where the deal sits in the SE process: 1-Assigned, 2-Discovery & Tech Qual, 3-Tech Scoping, 4-Validate Solution, 5-Final Due Diligence, 6-Technical Win, 7-Technical Loss, 8-Zombies.
• Presales Confidence — Your technical read on the deal: High, Low, or Not Forecasted Quarter. Reviewed on forecasting calls.
• Technical Differentiation — How Okta compares to the alternative: Superior, Neutral, or Inferior.
• POC Status — Lightweight tracking: Upcoming, Started, or Complete. Independent of the full POC Guide.
• Presales Concern — Multi-select flags: Competitor, Political Alignment, Price, Product, Services Cost, Timing.
• Risks / Gaps — Free text for technical risks or product gaps.
• Presales Next Steps — Near-term to-dos. This field is overwritten each time you update it.
• MDP Status — Mutual Deployment Plan state: Too Early, Drafting, PS Engaged Early, Partner Delivering, Won't Engage, Blocked, Handoff Complete, No MDP.
• MDP Link — Direct URL to the Box document for this MDP.
• Presales Notes — A running, append-only log. Format each entry as: mm/dd/yy <Initials> [Update: …] with new entries at the top.
• SE Manager Notes — Your manager's read on the deal. Reviewed during forecasting.
• Link to Box / GDocs — URL to customer-facing opportunity materials.

AI analysis

Click the ✦ AI button on any opportunity, then choose Analyze Presales Fields. The AI reads all meeting transcripts and fills in: presales stage, concerns, technical differentiation, risks, confidence, POC status, next steps, and a summary entry for the notes log. The notes entry is always prepended — existing log entries are never overwritten.

Manual entry

All fields can be edited manually at any time. Dropdowns save on change; text fields save on focus out.
